New Year Means Wedding Planning!
It seems like I haven't blogged in soooo long and that's probably because I haven't! Things have been pretty hectic so blogging has taken a bit of a back seat. As some of you know I got engaged in September while in Portugal for a friends wedding but decided not to really do too much planning till the new year even though of course I had to do at least one Pinterest board but I mean who could resist a bit of pinning! So here we are in January and I'm raring to go with the organising.
Rob surprised me over dinner in a lovely tapas restaurant which is our favourite food and chose this ring as my surprise ring but knowing how fussy I am he said I could choose my own ring when we got back to Ireland but I have to say if this was the real deal I'd be more than happy with it so I have to give him some credit on knowing what I like. See the boy does listen! That said I'm beyond excited to get my actual ring which is currently being made. It was a total surprise and looking back I'm surprised Rob wasn't acting more nervous as we walked to dinner but looking back he was cool as a breeze. He later told me he had wanted to propose on a gorgeous beach near our hotel but as it was very windy that evening he knew there was no way he was getting me down there and being a complete boozehound he knew I'd want to hit the bars after dinner.
After dinner we went to a cute little bar in Lagos town and the bartender made us a special shot and gave one to every one in the bar for a toast to us. Here's a pretty badly taken photo by the barman as we prepared to drink our engagement shots which my bridesmaids had blown up and put onto canvas in an Andy Warhol, Pop Art style. The engagement wasn't full of grand romantic gestures but it was very us and that's the main thing. Very relaxed and low key. I'm sure lots of my friends are expecting me to be a complete Bridezilla but thankfully that hasn't happened yet but it's early days!
So that's where I am so far on the wedding preparations. I'll try not to drive you all completely mad over the next while with endless wedding posts so I'll keep them to a minimum!
Looking forward to keeping you all posted though and sharing my wedding plans with you.

A Most Fashionable Week
I've been seriously busy lately so unfortunately the blogging has taken a little bit of a back seat but I'm trying to make more of an effort to schedule in some time to do it. Last week was a serious fashion week here in Cork what with it being MSL Mercedez-Benz Fashion Week Cork and I headed along to two pretty amazing shows. On Wednesday the fashion crowd headed to Ballymaloe for the Irish design show and fashion awards. Yours truly had the honour of being nominated for stylist of the year though I ended up losing out to stylist Irene O' Brien so even though I was disappointed I felt I had lost to a deserving winner so it was all good!
On Saturday I was in complete work mode as fellow stylist Sarah Corcoran and I were styling the Cork Style show which was a celebration of all things stylish in Cork from boutiques, high street brands and designers. The night was a huge success and major congratulations have to go to two inspiring ladies Emer and Vivienne from Lockdown Models who as per usual did an amazing job of pulling the whole week together.

10 Things You Didn't Know About Me
So the lovely Shell from Shell La Belle tagged me to do this post where I answer ten questions set by her which will hopefully give you a better idea of who I am. I then have to set my own ten questions and tag another ten bloggers. Simples! Here are my answers and my questions for my other blogger pals....enjoy! xx.
1.How long are you blogging?
I've been blogging kind of on and off for the last two years but have really only started properly doing it in the last year. However I have to say with work being so hectic I sometimes find it hard to make the time for blogging.
2. What is your favourite shade of Lipstick?
I am all about the red lip! My fav is a red lipstick from Topshop.
3. Shoes or Handbag?
That's like picking a favourite child which I'm told is impossible!
4. What is your favourite film/TV show?
I'm a total TV and film addict. I love having a good series on the go and some of my favs have been Game of Thrones, The Wire and The Walking Dead. I also love anything trashy and reality TV so Big Brother, America's Next Top Model, Towie etc are all firm favourites of mine. I have so many fav films depending on my mood, I also love fashion documentaries. I can't recommend Advanced Style on Netflix highly enough.
5. What is your top beauty tip?
I don't really have any beauty tips but I do drink a lot of water which seems like a beauty tip.
6. What is our top 3 make up products?
Again I'm pretty low maintenance when it comes to make-up. I do love the Topshop red lipstick, Topshop cream blush in Head Over Heels and Kevyn Aucoin bronzer.
7. Where would you like to live if you won the lotto?
I'd still live in Cork but I'd also have houses in London and a little holiday place in Barcelona, Krakow and somewhere beachy. I think I need to win the Euromillions.
8. What is your dream job?
I have to say I absolutely love the job I have! Styling and personal shopping is my dream but of course I'd love to work with some major fashion house.
9. What is your favourite dessert?
Not really a major dessert person but my granny makes a dessert involving swiss role, cream and custard which is delish.
10. What camera do you use?
I use the camera in my phone a lot but also have a Nikon D3100 which my boyfriend bought me for my 30th.
Well there you go!
Now I nominate the following bloggers:
Here are your questions:
1. Did you have another blog name you were considering?
2. What's your favourite thing about blogging?
3. Heels or flats?
4.Where do you like to shop?
5. What beauty tip do you swear by?
6. Do you enjoy thrift shopping?
7. If you do outfit posts who do you normally get to take the pics?
8. What's your favourite restaurant?
9. What other blogs do you read?
10. Describe your style in five words.
